The category still carries usage restrictions that should be understood before purchase or operation.
Meaning and permitted use
Under MOT guidance issued in 2026, goods vehicles not exceeding 7,500kg BDM are categorised as De-Controlled and may carry the owner’s or company’s own business goods without an APAD operator permit.
Important usage limit
Carrying third-party goods for hire or reward requires a Pembawa A review. Vehicle, road-safety, driving-licence and other legal requirements still apply.
Check before deciding
Review the Geran, BDM, body type, goods ownership, actual use and current requirements.
